June Festivals in McHenry County

8 June MIDSOMMAR Festival, Crystal Lake
Explore our Swedish roots at this fun and educational festival of folklore! Activities include maypole decorating and raising, crown crafts, Swedish traditions, Scandinavian dance group, Swedish treats, CL Brewing and more!

15 & 16 June Tom’s Strawberry Festival, Huntley
Free Admission. Festival will include balloon animals, face painting, music, food and more.

29 June Celebrate Fox Lake
The parade starts at 4:00 p.m. and goes down Grand Avenue. Festivities at Lakefront Park immediately following the parade, where there will be food, activities, and music! Fireworks start at dusk.

11-14 July Fiesta Days, McHenry
A celebration of family and friends with music, rides, food, ice cream social, arts & crafts fair, parade and more!

14 July Heritage Fair, Union
The McHenry County Historical Society invites the public to experience local history. The event will include an antique car show, white elephant sale, and pie-baking content.

17-21 Summer in the Park, Woodstock
A summertime festival featuring music, games, food, movie night, and more!

21 July Woodstock Folk Festival, Woodstock
Celebrating 50th Anniversary of Woodstock and the Moon Landing through music. Festival will include a children’s area with hands-on activities.

30 July – 4 August McHenry County Fair, Woodstock
A 70-year-old tradition! Explore livestock, vendors, a carnival, and entertainment for the whole family.

31 July Foxtales Storytelling Festival, Algonquin
Storytellers, musicians, and puppeteers from the greater Chicago area will enchant audiences of all ages. Come prepared to laugh, gasp, and have lots of fun.

11 August Monarchs and Music, Crystal Lake
The Monarch Coalition is bringing to the beach an engaging Monarch Fair loaded with activities, games and monarch education. Buy a pollinator plant and help us repopulate the monarchs! Wander to the band shell where they will be showcasing local bands for your entertainment.
