Shamrockin’ Party
March 9, 5:00 – 10:00 p.m.
Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School, Cary
Cost: $20 adults, $5 Children. 1 free child ticket (under age 12) per adult ticket purchased.
Event features dinner, entertainment, shenanigans for kids and beer ad wine for purchase. Trinity Irish Dancers will perform.

Celebracion del dia de San Patricio *registration required*
March 11, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
McHenry Public Library District
Escucha historias de San Patricio y hazunamanualidad. Listen to stories about St. Patrick’s day and make an awesome craft. Bilingual program, held in Spanish. For children in Kindergarten through second grade.

STEM Me a Story: How to Trap a Leprechaun *registration required*
March 13, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
McHenry Public Library District
Experience the story and then enjoy a hands-on STEM activity that relates to the story. This month we will read How to Trap a Leprechaun by Sue Fliess. Then get ready to create your own leprechaun trap! For children in Kindergarten and first grade.

10th Annual Barrington Celtic Fest
March 15 – March 17
McGonigal’s Pub & The Loft, Barrington
This annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration stretches over two days in the heart of downtown Barrington! The celebration is focused on food, drink, fun and families are encouraged to attend during the day time house. Sunday is Family day.

Cost: $25 per child
Children can create edible pretzel treats, decorate and color coolies plus create a fun craft. Wear green for special prizes. For ages 3 and older. 

McHenry ShamRocks the Fox
March 16- 17
Miller’s Point, McHenry
Paint the town green this St. Patrick’s day! Downtown McHenry’s two-day event McHenry ShamROCKS the Fox features the Fox River dyed emerald green by Blarney Island. There’s plenty of music, family-friendly activities for leprechauns of all sizes!

You’ve been planning night and day, and finally you’ve created the perfect trap, but leprechauns are quick and sneakier than you may think. Will you ever catch one?

Leprechauns and Limercks
March 16, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Get your official leprechaun name, become a master limerick writer, learn how to leprechaun-proof your home, and take home fun giveaways as we celebrate the release of Ronan Boyle and the Bridge of Riddles.

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
March 16, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Huntley American Legion Post 673
Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner with all the fixings and dessert as well as a cash bar. Cost is $16 at the door, kid meal (hot dog) tickets are $5.

50th Annual St. Patrick’s Dinner
March 16, 6:00 – 11:00 p.m.

St. Thomas the Apostle, Crystal Lake
Cost: $20 adults and $10 for children.
Event will feature Irish Dancers, live entertainment, cash bar, and traditional Irish dinner and sweet table.

St. Patrick’s Day Party
March 16, 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. 
Bella’s Bouncies Skate on Grand, 720 E. Grand Ave., Fox Lake
Cost is $10 per person/$15 per couple includes admission, skate rental, Dress as a leprechaun and your admission is FREE. Enjoy games, a bounce house, a “selfie” photo booth, festive drinks and more.

St. Patrick’s Day “Be Green” Event
March 17, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Wilmot Mountain, Wilmot WI
Help Wilmot Mountain with their environmental vision at their Be Green event. Event will feature visits with Greenie the Wilmot Leprechaun, music, recycling, and more.

St. Patrick’s Day Party
