Fall Concert Series – September 13 and 20
{McHenry} Enjoy a fall evening of music in Veterans Memorial Park. Food and refreshments available for purchase.

Cary Main Street Festival – September 15 & 16
{Cary} $5 entry,  Enjoy food,  music, bags tournament, a car show, and more at this two day festival.

Huntley Fall Festival – September 21-23
{Huntley}Fall Fest is a four-day community celebration brought to you by the Huntley Fall Fest Committee, generous business sponsors, civic organizations, and hundreds of volunteers. The 2018 Huntley Fall Fest features three days of entertainment, a beer garden, food vendors, a full carnival midway, plenty of fall activities, and a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday night! It’s the can’t miss event of the year!

Norge Ski Jumping & Food Truck Festival – September 22-23
{Fox River Grove} $15 entrance button. Ski jumpers from around the world will compete on the 70 meter hill. Food Trucks will be on hand selling pizza, slow cooked BBQ, Mexican food, gourmet grilled cheese, and more. Discount tickets available online and at local merchants.

End of Summer Party – September 23
{Crystal Lake} Join Pin 690 for their 5th annual event featuring pony rides, music, games, kiddie train ride, balloon artist, face painting, food and refreshments, and more!

26th Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival – September 29
{Crystal Lake} Crystal Lake’s largest one-day event brings families and the community together to celebrate fall. Shelby tells you all about it here.

October Festivals in McHenry County

Car Show – October 4
{Crystal Lake} Enjoy the last car show of the season in the parking lot of Park Place Banquets.

Annual McHenry Fall Festival and Pumpkin Giveaway– October 6
{McHenry}Join us on Saturday October 6, 2018 for our 4th annual fall festival! We will be giving away free pumpkins to the first 500 children, limit one pumpkin per child while supplies last. Enjoy family time together! Large bouncy house and complimentary refreshments.

41st Annual Cider Fest- October 7
{Union} The 41st annual festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, October. 7, at the museum campus, 6422 Main St. in Union. In addition to free access to the museum, guests are invited to participate in an Apple Bake-Off, take home a variety of homemade apple treats and experience what is was like in a Civil War encampment with the 36 Wisconsin Voluntary Infantry.

Fall Family Festival & Horse Drawn Carriage Rides  – October 13
{Harvard} Come out to celebrate this fascinating transitional time of year with free family-friendly activities, horse-drawn wagon rides, arts and crafts, games, and puppet shows. Enjoy children’s music/storytelling with special guest Clare Norelle, performing bilingual songs and stories. Seasonal snacks and refreshments also available to purchase. NOTE: This special event is free, but wagon rides cost $5 per person (children under 4 are free on a parent’s lap).Preregistration for wagon rides is required.

Pumpkin Train – October 20
{Union} Pick up your pumpkin by train and enjoy some family-themed Halloween fun. Kids are encouraged to come in costume for a special treat!
