The crisp air and the colorful leaves on the trees signal both the end of the summer farmer’s markets and the beginning of several fall markets in McHenry County. If you hurry, you can catch the last few dates of the lingering summer markets; if you plan ahead, you will know exactly where to visit as late in the year as December. My family can’t get enough of seasonal, local produce and freshly-baked goods from the farmer’s markets–even if it means putting on sweatshirts and hats and braving the colder weather.
