The City of Woodstock will once again host Summer in the Park, a traditional community summertime festival featuring music, entertainment, games, food, and fun for all ages spread over 5 days in July. Below is an overview of the event but keep checking www.woodstockfestivals.org or call 815-338-4301 for more information.

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17 – Summer in the Park Band Concert.
Come out to Park in the Square for a Woodstock tradition, the City Band Concert, featuring a Summer in the Park theme. Enjoy an old-fashioned ice cream social and carnival game booths (if you feel lucky). In addition, the evening will include a “Picnic in the Park” contest to see who can make the most creative picnic setting, so get your creativity going.

THURSDAY, JULY 18 – Summer in the Park Movie Night.
This FREE movie event will be held at the Park in the Square this year and will feature Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. In addition to free popcorn, RC Juggles will be
joining us to provide pre-movie fun!

FRIDAY, JULY 19 – Summer in the Park Live Music Night.
Come out for a FREE concert under the big tent. Live music from two bands will be playing from approximately 6:00 – 10:00 PM. The beer garden will be open and a “Taste of Woodstock” will feature a variety of delicious food and snacks from local vendors. Come cheer on local businesses in the Second Annual City Bags Tournament. This year’s bands include, “Cap’n Funk and the Groove Train”, and “16 Candles”!

SATURDAY, JULY 20 – Summer at the Pool –
A special “Sailing” day at Woodstock Water Works featuring entertainment, games, food, and, of course, fun. There will be a reduced admission fee to the pool that day
and all activities are free.

SUNDAY, JULY 21 – Summer in the Park – from Noon to 5:00 PM.
Come out to Emricson Park for a day of FREE Family Fun featuring a variety of entertainment, games, food, fun, and activities for all ages, including carnival booths, arts & crafts, bouncy activities, a rock-climbing wall, music and more. The beer garden will be open and food will be available for a small fee. Then, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM, teens and tweens, grades 6 and up, will enjoy activities and music planned just for them, complete with a DJ and door prizes!
